There’s no doubt that Dion is an excellent builder. His work is superb and he runs a tight work-site. After that experience of fixing the Riverhouse, we then asked Dion to repair our beachfront home. Once investigations began it was obvious it was a huge job and almost a complete rebuild. He had a lot of restrictions on that home – a very steep site and working within the confines of an older home.
Dion forms strong relationships with people. When he needed technical and structural issues addressing, he had the right connections to achieve this advice quickly. He is a thoughtful builder with a fabulous eye for design so he can make the most out of a space. We were mightily impressed with the final product that Dion provided. He has old-fashioned rules about walls being straight and he has very little tolerance for contractors who could not deliver the level of construction he demanded and he would make them re-do the work until he was satisfied. He is a lot younger than many of the tradesmen on-site yet he handled it with a mature, no-nonsense approach.
Everyone has heard horror stories about builders. We had a great experience and would love to use Dion in future if we are every silly enough to build again. Since the beach house has been completed, it doesn’t matter if there is the smallest question or difficulty or repair needed, Dion will be back to us in a flash. He didn’t just dump us after he received payment and we are very appreciative of the after-care service. He’s a family man, a good fellow and importantly, one of the best builders we have ever dealt with.
